Marketing Content Writer

Position Status: Full-time

Element212 is seeking a full-time Marketing Content Writer responsible for the creation and execution of marketing content to support our marketing strategies. What to Expect in this Role

The Marketing Content Writer works collaboratively with every department at Element212. The content team is responsible for conveying a variety of clients’ brand identity and must write with the end-reader in mind at all times. You will take deep dives into the buyers’ journey for our client’s customers and influence strategy to reach them with the right information at the right time.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Develop content for:
    • Blogs
    • E-news
    • Websites
    • Social Media
    • Advertisements
    • Print marketing materials
    • Video (Voice-over and Text overlay)
    • Press Releases
    • SEO Content
  • Write requested content based on overall messaging goals for the client and per direction provided by the Client Account Manager
  • Follow content checklists and internal procedures
  • Conducting research on industry-related topics, including initiating contact with other departments and gathering necessary information to develop original content
  • Learn to publish approved content on websites, e-news, and social media platforms
  • Monitor, measure, and optimize the content to meet the marketing goals

Direct Reports:

You will report to the senior content writer and also work closely with the strategy, project, and development teams. The CEO and President check in occasionally, and you should be able and willing to provide updates on your work. Each team member is expected to participate in whole-team gatherings such as strategy and brainstorming sessions, team-building activities, and project status updates.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience in marketing writing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Takes initiative, is creative and thorough, and consistently meets deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and within a group
  • Experience related to online marketing
  • Writing or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • 1-3 years of experience in similar position
  • A portfolio is required
  • Search Engine Optimization experience is a bonus

What to Expect in This Role:

As Digital Marketing Assistant – a dynamic and challenging role – you play an important part in the keeping our clients competitive in the digital marketplace. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-performing digital marketing campaigns, working collaboratively with our creative team, and analyze results for continuous improvement

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Develop & execute marketing strategies based on client goals
  • Schedule digital advertising campaigns as directed by the digital marketing strategist
  • Manage ad campaigns on multiple platforms for several clients simultaneously
  • Monitor ad analytics and communicate campaign results to clients verbally

  • Experience in Google AdWords, Facebook & Instagram Advertising, You Tube Advertising, and Google Display Network
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Tech-savvy and able to explore and learn new technologies on a regular basis
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to speak clearly and confidently
  • Ability to understand and articulate analytics
  • Comfortable managing client budgets and time/spend schedules within ad campaigns

Additional Experience Preferred

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Wordpress platform

Role

As Marketing Assistant – a dynamic, fun, and challenging role – you play an important part in assisting the Brand Strategist in keeping our marketing strategies and project moving forward in a timely manner. This in an entry level position that will provide you the skill set to learn how to develop marketing campaigns, evaluate for accuracy and quality, work with a creative team, and expand your creative skills.

Direct Reports

You will work closely with the Brand Strategist, supporting in marketing strategy activities that align with the marketing assistant responsibilities. You will also work closely with the content and design team in managing the marketing efforts for our clients and moving these projects through to completion. You will report directly to the team weekly on project statuses during our priority meeting for the projects in which you manage.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assists Brand Strategists in client communications
    • Manages day-to-day client communications
    • Schedules client meetings
    • Works with client on attaining information and approval of work
    • Monitors priority email to assign work
    • Write and send clients regular (weekly in most cases) project updates/needs
  • Manages tasks in Basecamp
  • Supports strategists to monitor industry trends for new opportunities with each client industry
  • Resolves clients’ concerns
  • Works with outside vendors to expand opportunities for clients and when needed for specific projects
  • Assist and possibly oversee some strategy projects with specific clients
