Tuttle Orchards is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated farm in the Indianapolis area. Since 1928, this local favorite has been providing guests with quality, farm-fresh produce and authentic agricultural experiences. Tuttles welcomes thousands of visitors year-round, including families, businesses, schools, and senior groups. They are passionate about helping people experience all the farm has to offer, such as fall activities, pick-your-own produce, classes, and field trips.
The Tuttles website was in great need of an update. Over the years, as their farm had grown to provide a larger variety of produce and products, their site had become outdated, difficult to navigate for customers, and cumbersome to manage for staff. They wanted their new site to attract and provide information to all the different audiences they serve. With the frequent changes in produce and activities coming in and out of season, the Tuttles team wanted a more efficient way to make daily updates and reduce the number of informational phone calls by helping visitors find answers faster. Finally, they also wanted their website to include more photos to truly showcase the Tuttles experience where happy visitors could come to eat, shop, learn, and enjoy the farm.
Our team began by familiarizing ourselves with the full scope of Tuttle Orchards’ products and services. We conducted several discovery meetings and planning sessions to fully understand their different audiences, current challenges, and needs for the website. We then developed a detailed sitemap and navigation menu to help visitors find information easily and quickly.
The new Tuttle Orchards website better showcases their brand and what they stand for, while also making it simple to find information quickly. By working collaboratively with their team to understand their internal needs for the site, we were able to develop an information management system that allowed them to manage events, produce availability, and seasonal activities. With a revamped look, informative content, and easier to use website, Tuttle Orchards is now poised to better serve their growing audience.
