Since 1965, Scope Services, Inc. has been a premier provider of high-quality utilities solutions to large commercial markets, bringing a dedication to safety, quality, and integrity. Their services include smart grid solutions, energy services, utility field services, power generation support, workforce solutions, and substation services. Scope Services takes pride in being a woman-owned business made up of a personable group of professionals who are dedicated to their industry.

Their Challenge

Scope Services’ website was dated and unappealing, so they were ready for a fresh look. Their leadership felt that their current site did not represent the level of excellence they provide and did not sufficiently highlight each of their unique service areas. As they prepared to enter a new era for utilities, they wanted to jump in front of the curve and tell a more compelling story on their site. Their priorities for their website redesign were to advertise their capabilities to clients and potential clients and to recruit and retain top talent. They wanted their new site to have a professional look, engaging content, team highlights, and logical organization and structure.

Our Strategy

We began their new website process by conducting a discovery session, interviews with their team and clients, and an online survey to better understand what their audience needed from the website. We aimed to find out how the website could help their internal team with the sales process, the recruiting process, and better brand representation.

Our goal with design was to give Scope Services a professional and modern look. To do this, we used a signature, recognizable color palette; background design elements to add visual interest; and interactive, moving graphics to draw the user in. We also utilized updated headshots and photos of their team on their site to achieve a personalized design.
Working collaboratively with their team, we captured the appropriate tone and voice in their web content to represent their brand and communicate the nuts and bolts of what they offer in their technical industry. We emphasized their company history, team culture, and integrity to carry across the true nature of their brand.
On their new website, we added in several quality calls to actions to help Scope Services connect with new leads. At the bottom of each of their service pages, we placed a form to get in touch and an image of the team member the form would go to so the site would feel more personalized. With CTAs and intuitive navigation on each page, we helped guide leads through the process of getting in touch with Scope Services. We also added in features to make it easier for HR to update job postings as part of their business as a staffing company.

The Result

With their new website, we provided Scope Services with a refreshed, modern look and greater information management capabilities. Their team was very happy with the results.
